Cameron Wants to Evict Rioters Families, San Francisco Kills Cell Phones
Yes The Hits Just Keep On Coming For British Citizens
Cameron’s Britain…imagine it, or well, you don’t have to, it’s already taking shape around you. Seems that British Prime Minister, David Cameron, is taking a page from American political playbooks, and not allowing a good crisis to go to waste. Calling for a social media kill switch, imposing harsh penalties across the board for rioters, using every crowd dispersal tactic known to man, and flooding police streets with thousands of extra police. But here we have the icing on the police state cake…kicking families of rioters out of their government subsidized homes. Yes, in a piece from, of all unlikely places, The NYTimes, comes a new report on how David Cameron, on Friday, put forth a measure that would cut off funding and evict the families of rioters, who are living in government subsidized homes.
LONDON — As Britain begins to weigh the costs of the rioting of recent days and ponder measures to prevent a recurrence, the government of Prime Minister David Cameron put forward on Friday a new way of punishing the looters and vandals who rampaged through many of the country’s cities and towns: kick them and their families out of their government-subsidized homes.
The Article also goes on to site another conservative leade, one Eric Pickles, who was even more of an ass, when asked what the families would do, how would they live, Mr. Pickles, (a dubious name indeed) said simply “They could get a job.” Where Mr. Pickles? Where can these families find work in your country? Let’s see they could find work if your countries unemployment rate weren’t resting at an “official” number of 7.7%. Yes I’m sure it’s easy for them to take low wage, long hour, desolate dead end jobs, especially when they already merely exist rather than survive on the government dole. It’s just that easy, isn’t it.
However here’s a bit of info that most media are glossing over:
IPCC SAYS THAT IT MAY HAVE, JUST MAYBE. MISLEAD THE MEDIA OVER MARK DUGGAN’S DEATH
Yes, Mark Dyggan, the 29 year old, Tottenham resident that was shot by Police over a week ago now, the supposed catalyst for the rioting that went on for almost a week in Britain, that Mark Duggan. Seems that the IPCC may have, you know, stretched the truth, or possibly even just fucking lied to the media about the shot that was fired, allegedly, from within the cab Mark Duggan was riding in, at the time of his death. Here’s the IPCC report : Independent Police Complaints Commission Report
Back here In The States, Well, We Have Our Own Censorship to Deal With
Seems San Francisco,CA, home of the counterculture, hippie protest, free drugs, free love, free peace movements of the 60’s and 70’s has done an about face when it comes to personal freedoms. From the AP :
SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Transit officials blocked cellphone reception in San Francisco train stations for three hours to disrupt planned demonstrations over a police shooting.
Now, this is somewhat old news, but it also sort of piggy backs on some other interesting info that I put out there a few days ago, where San Francisco Buses will receive a free upgrade to their surveillance cameras, courtesy of the DHS, Department of Homeland Security, through a 6 million dollar grant. The video camera’s will not be a first in that almost all metro buses in San Fran have monitoring equipment, but the new system will be something nobody in the Bay Area will have seen before. It’ll all be in real streaming, downloadable, mobile app time. The new system will be spread out among three separate bus terminals, and will be able to be monitored, in real time via the internet as well as the CCTV, and
A HUGE OPERATION LAUNCHED BY ANONYMOUS
Seems that this has caught the attention of the hacker collective/group Anonymous, as they have as of yesterday launched a new operation called #opbart. Information on that can be found here: AnonNews Tumblr A new statement released via AnonNews says this:
TO THE PEOPLE OF THE USA: The past year has brought about some substantial awareness through some unfortunate events that have occurred throughout our world. From internet censorship to the unnecessary violence inflicted upon unarmed civilans, we’ve all seen what can happen once a portion of us are gagged. In Egypt and Tunisia, we saw people struggling to make their voices heard. We have seen companies such as Telecomix delve into the nastiness of political corruption in an attempt to free those censored individuals from their prisons of silence. We seen social media such as FaceBook and twitter explode with users from around the world speaking out against censorship. Today, we’ve seen America come alive. In the Bay Area, we’ve seen people gagged, and once more, Anonymous will attempt to show those engaging in the censorship what it feels like to be silenced. #OpBART is an operation geared toward balance - toward learning. You do not censor people because they wish to speak out against the wrongs the wrongful things occurring around them. The Bay Area Rapid Transit has made the conscious decision of ordering various cell phone companies to terminate services for the downtown area inhibiting those in the area from using cell phones - even in the case of an emergency. To BART: We will not tolerate censorship. We will do everything in our power (we are legion) to parallel the actions of censorship that you have chosen to engage in. We will be free to speak out against you when you try to cover up crimes, namely on behalf of those who have engaged in violence against a mostly unarmed public. We will set those who have been censored free from their silence. That’s a promise. Anonymous demands that this activity revolving around censorship cease and desist and we know you are already planning to do this again. We will not issue any more warnings.
TO THE PEOPLE OF SAN FRANCISCO: People of San Francisco, join us Monday, August 15th at 5pm for a peaceful protest at Civic Center station to illustrate the solidarity with people we once knew and to stand up for your rights and those of your fellow citizens. We will be wearing “blood” stained shirts for remembrance to the blood that is on the hands of the BART police.
For the people outside of San Francisco, show solidarity by using black fax, email bombs, and phone calls to the BART Board of Directors. BART decided to cut off your communications and now we will flood theirs. We request that you bring cameras to record further abuses of power by the police and to legitimize the protest. The media will certainly spin this in an attempt to make our actions appear to be violent or somehow harmful to the citizenry at large. Remember, this is a peaceful protest. Any actions trying to incite violence in our protest are not of our people, and they ought to be discouraged. We are Anonymous, We are legion, We never forgive, We never forget, Expect us.
